The CRD 9726 is a modem cradle designed for the OPL 9728 data collector. Data stored in the OPL 9728 data collector can be transmitted via a modular cable when the data collector is set in the CRD 9726 cradle
For any of our modem cradles, the TCP/IP library for our terminals must be built into the embedded terminal application, and the functions that it exports used to form a TCP/IP connection. The phone number is provided by the embedded application and passed to a function in the TCP/IP library to dial the number. How this phone number gets to the embedded application is the choice of the developer – it can be input by the user and passed to the TCP/IP library, or it can be hard-coded in the terminal application code, or it could be put in a file that the terminal application reads from.
For information about similar cradles please see CRD97xx.
