Windows Phone 7 competes mainly with Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android in the smartphone market. Individuals can use Windows Phone 7 devices for personal use, because they integrate with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Lync and Office 365. Windows Phone 7 uses Outlook Mobile for email access and supports several major email services.

According to Microsoft, as of November 2012: Windows Phone 8 does not support Bluetooth HID or Bluetooth SPP. Bluetooth HID and Bluetooth SPP are the two bluetooth profiles used by our bluetooth barcode scanners for real time data transfer. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2770012
