Using the OPR3101 with an Android device with Bluetooth-SPP

Below are the steps to pair and connect your OPR3101 with your Adroid device in Bluetooth SPP mode

First you will need to install onto your device both of our applications from Google play: OpticonRL + OpticonRL Software Keyboard After installation be sure to enable the Soft keyboard by tapping on Settings > Language and input > making sure the OpticonRL Soft Keyboard is checked

Below are the configuration sheets for the OPR3101. Please print and scan these to configure your scanner.

After your device is configured, be sure your bluetooth is switched on your android device. Print and scan the barcode below: Manually connect

After scanning the barcode above, your scanner will begin flashing blue. Perform the following steps.

Launch OpticonRL from your Android device, tap on Connect a device. Select your OPR3101 from the list.

Setup is now complete, you should now be able to scan to your Android device. To test this, launch a text editor such as Memo.

Drivers

Driver Description Version Download
All-In-One PC Drivers USB-to-serial drivers installer package for 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows XP (32-bit only), Vista 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. This package contains four drivers. The first and fourth drivers are for the Opticon cradles. The second driver is for the OPN200x scanners along with many other Opticon products. The third driver is an ATEN driver for a popular RS232 <-> USB-VCP adapter.
