About

The OPI3301 is an ultra-lightweight Bluetooth™ CMOS imager that reads 1D or 2D barcodes for healthcare, retail, point-of-sale (POS), inventory or logistics applications. The OPI3301 uses LEDs for lighting and features a red laser spot for aiming. Disinfectant-ready plastic makes this scanner ideal for Healthcare applications.

CRD3301 Connection

  1. First, choose your preferred interface type, either keyboard emulation or serial.
    1. Keyboard Emulation allows any barcode scanned to be transmitted directly to the cursor on the host computer. To enable Keyboard Emulation, print this barcode sheet and scan the barcode on it.
    2. Serial mode causes the OPI3301 to transmit data only over a COM port. Choose this mode only if you have software which requires it. To enable transmission via a COM port, print this sheet and scan the barcode on it.
  2. Plug the cradle into the PC or Mac.
  3. Scan the Quick Connect barcode on the bottom of the cradle. The OPI3301 should chirp, and a solid blue light will appear on the cradle to indicate a good connection.

At this point if you've chosen keyboard emulation, barcode data will appear at your cursor. If you've chosen Serial mode then you will need to open the application which you intend to use the OPI3301 with in order to receive data.
