    + The system should pop up a splash screen for this device. Press any key and follow the instructions on the screen until the diagnostics are completed.  
       
    + Note: These diagnostics do not test the charging circuit, the IR, or the RS232 parts of the device. Those will need to be tested by either updating the OS through these functions or downloading data using the Opticon Standard Demo. The Charging Circuit can be tested by placing a device with the standard rechargeable battery onto a cradle. At that point a red light should turn on indicating the unit is charging.
