The MDC Category is a family of bar code scan modules (Scan engines) that contain a CCD linear imager. These are small [[OEM]] devices are solid state and contain no moving parts to potentially wear out. These devices can only decode the typical 1D symbologies like UPC, code 39, Code 128, etc.
