    + ==Interface Types==
    + The C37 supports multiple interface types, including USB-HID and USB-VCP. For a complete list see the About section above.

    + ===USB-HID Keyboard Emulation===
    + If you have purchased a USB version of the C37, and your software doesn't require the use of a serial port then this will be the most convenient interface for you to use as it doesn't require the use of special drivers or middleware. You can simply place your cursor where you want the barcode data to go, point, and scan.

    + To use this interface, simply print [http://opticonfigure.opticon.com/sl/?z=ki-1&a=4&b=0&d=1 this barcode sheet] and scan each barcode on it from top to bottom. When you're done the C37 will be recognized as a USB Keyboard.

    + ===USB-VCP Serial Port Emulation===
    + If your software requires the use of a serial port to transmit and receive data, then you must choose this mode if you own a USB C37. First, download and install our [http://ftp.opticonusa.com/Downloads/USB%20Drivers%20Installer.zip USB Drivers]. Then, print [http://opticonfigure.opticon.com/sl/?z=AQ-1&a=4&b=0&d=1 this barcode sheet] and scan each barcode on it from top to bottom to configure the C37 in USB-VCP mode. After this, your PC will automatically detect that the C37 is connected in Serial Port mode and will install the correct drivers.

    + You may also have to configure the PC-side software to listen on the correct COM port. To do that please contact your software vendor's Technical Support team.
